Browse the kits How it works — FAQ

Every kit is cold-solved twice before it goes on sale. That's the whole brand.

The fastest way a mystery night dies is clue logic that doesn't hold together — a culprit nobody could have found, or three culprits the clues can't separate. So before any kit here goes on sale, it passes four checks: a full logic matrix (the solution is uniquely determined, every red herring is a deliberate red herring, nothing contradicts), two independent cold-solve passes — two solvers work the kit from the clues alone, with no outside knowledge, and both must reach the same culprit — plus an adversarial pass that tries to convict the strongest innocent suspect and must fail, a character-balance pass (every character has a secret, a reveal, and a reason to be suspected), and minimum-cast and host-as-player runs. If a kit fails any check, it doesn't ship.

Murder at the Mistletoe Gala has passed all of it — cold-solved twice and adversarially tested on the exact text that ships. A Shot in the Dark, Murder at the Reunion, and the free mini-mystery are in that final verification pass now. No kit goes on sale here until it passes.

Free: a complete mini-mystery

The Locked Study — a free 6-player mini-mystery, about 40 minutes, 28 pages — is built to the same cold-solve standard as the full kits: two independent solvers work it from the clues alone and must reach the same culprit, and an adversarial pass must fail to convict the strongest innocent. The mini is in its final verification pass now and returns with the reopening — join the list and your copy is reserved by email.

The defective-kit guarantee

These are digital downloads, and sales are final — with one promise that matters: if a kit ever contains a verified logic error, the buyer who reports it gets a refund or a replacement, and the kit is pulled and fixed for every buyer. A mystery that can't be solved fairly isn't a product, it's a defect — and we treat it that way. Full details in the FAQ.
